  Announcing all the changes at once was just a way to slip through the changes to disfellowshipping practises involving minors.

  The rank and file dubs will be so dizzy with excitement they won't focus on the most important policy change.

  This has probably been mentioned but this is all about whats happening in Norway.

  Russia has already mocked Norway and basically said "we told you so" in regard to banning JW's. The GB is obviously concerned other countries will take notice of Norway and look more closely at the practises of JW's.

  Forget 1914, the 1975 generation are now passing away!

  we still have quite a few elderly here that came in as young families in the late 1960's-early 70's because soon, yes very soon they would enter the new system and never grow old.

  it's now one year away from 50 years since 1975. just in the last couple years i've seen them come down with alzheimer's, cancer, brain tumors, becoming invalid etc.

  the children of them that are now around 60 are just so distraught at seeing their parents deteriorate.

  A couple of generations of kids who are now grandparents. It was never supposed to happen like that.

  All those talents, dreams and potential un-nurtured and wasted. So many boomers- sucked in by 1975, still loyally going to meetings, not wanting to believe their own reality and the lives they took from their children.

  for decades, critics have pointed out the unfairness of god slaughtering billions in a future armageddon who never even met a jw much less heard their life-saving message.

  (remember the contortions around the collective responsibility of nations?

  ) also, why do babies and children have to die simply because their parents rejected the witnesses?

  I seem to remember the wt saying that if every person who has ever lived were resurrected and we all lived on earth together, we would have about an acre (4000m2) each.

  It depends which input you use but I did a quick bit of research. (For what its worth)

  Estimated total humans who have ever lived: Over 100 billion

  Total usable land ( no mountains or desert): 15 billion acres.

  Total land each: 0.15 acres, or about 600m2.

  If this model is right, would that even be enough land to grow food for each person?

  We would still have to live in cities. I dont think that is the dream the WT is selling.

  in my studies, i have concluded that year 530 bc was when the destruction of jerusalem occurred and the temple destroyed.

  i had determined this prior to investigation of vat4956.

  i had already found that the jubilees, sabbaticals, courses of the priests, and chronology attested to this.

  Again, on line 8:

  The sun still stood there is a reference that the moon was spotted after sunrise. This observation would have taken place in the morning. But in -567 the moon is not luminated at sunrise. Therefore, there is no way they could determine that morning to be first crescent. But in -511 the crescent is illuminated in the observation at moon rise after sunrise. That is why later in the day as it drifts even further away from the sun that it becomes THICK during the evening observation

  The new moon- or 'first crescent'- if thats what you mean- always happens AFTER sunset - not in the morning. It is visible in the western sky just after sunset. It sets quickly and is never visible in the early morning.

  New light on shunning?

  one theory why tony was booted out was because he was a stickler for not changing the shunning doctrine.

  he actually said the words we will never ever change it.. they are slowly deleting all of tony’s videos and now losing court cases and losing government hand outs in places like norway.. it’s looking very likely they will release new light on shunning policy after losing this latest one in norway.. .

  what are the odds they coincidentally get new light from jehovah and lighten up their shunning policy ?.

  Utter nonsense. The clay tablet notwithstanding its provenance is open to interpretation and to translation. There are at least four translations in English from the original German article and this tablet has been rigorously examined by Dr Rolf Furuli who is an expert in the Akkadian language
  using several different astro programs concluded that Neb's 37th year was in 588 BCE rather than the widely accepted date of 568 BCE which of course validates 607 BCE as the only possible date for the Fall of Jerusalem.

  Yes, this tablet could be a 'smoking gun' in that it affirms 607 BCE rather than the controversial 587 or 586 BCE for the Fall but the 'jury is out' on this matter.

  One of my hobbies is amateur astronomy. I have been interested in it for 40 years. Does that make me a world expert on anything? No. But I am fairly confident in this area and sometimes the simplest answer is the right answer.

  There is a reason the WT over-complicates this subject. Read the 2 part article they wrote about the fall of jerusalem and you will see what I mean. It is designed to make the average person feel that it is a subject that is difficult to understand and its better just to trust that the org has done its research and 607 is right, therefore 1914 is right.

  Forget about lunar eclipses, retrograde motions of planets, full moons in slightly wrong positions. It is all white noise to distract from the obvious. The planet Saturn was in a particular part of the sky in a certain year. It doesnt even matter if it was a little bit in front- or behind. That wont make a difference for the purpose of dating the year. That only happens once every 29.4 years. Its a basic concept and its freely available for anyone to observe. All you have to do is go outside at night and look up. (Except for right now because Saturn is behind the Sun :) )

  The rest of the planetary observations, which are all accurate, are just extra nails in the coffin of the 607 date. The reason its great that Saturn was visible that year is that it is the best planet to use for dating a certain year because of its slow movement through the zodiac.

  Sorry, I said that VAT 4956 casually dismantles 607. I should have said it 'effortlessly' dismantles it.

  As for the website vat4956.com, it agrees with the software I am using. Saturn is in the same positon, slightly behind the swallow (Pisces). When it first became visible, in the morning, earlier in the year it was lined up with Pisces. Here is vat4956.com:
